TOMMASO SARTORI is a photographer known for his highly atmospheric and immersive imagery. Born in Italy, in 1967, studied Visual Communication in Milan and is currently based in Paris. He achieved early recognition in his career when his work received an honorary mention at the first Turin International Photography Biennial in 1985. Collaborator for high-end magazines and brands Sartori's commercial is heavily characterised by an almost cinematic approach. An emphasis on abstraction, sharp lines, structural symmetry. Intense manipulation of shadow and light, utilisation of raw, contrasting black-and-white palettes to construct dramatic, three-dimensional spaces. Beyond photography, his artworks integrate site-specific works, photography and other media.
